Yesterday in between vacuuming rooms and my Labrador, I went out into the garden to what was happening. This is what I found.
Glorious hellebores. I took these photos by holding the camera right in among the blooms and pointed slightly up. A bit like a worms eye view.
I love the way the light is shining through the petals in the photo above. I might just have to paint them.
I don't know what this plant is but I know the bees love the blossom when in flower. There is a bee almost in the centre of the photo but he is very well camouflaged.
There is a bee in this photo too. He is in the far right side of the photo just under a flower. He has quite a load of pollen and if you click on the photo to enlarge, you might just see him. If you are interested in bees you might like to check out this post by Posy Linda.
The echium spires are growing. This is what they looked like 5 weeks ago.
Look at them now.
A rhubarb plant is making it's presence known among the weeds.
A Camellia in full bloom with bee loving yellow blossom in the background.
Lastly, our three curious chooks in a very muddy chook run. We had 143mm of rain for the month of August. No wonder it's muddy.
It sure was nice to catch some fresh air.
Bye for now, time for zzzzzzzzz.

ReplyDeleteLove your garden... We don't have a garden as such, most of ours are in pots and that includes all our orchids. I would love a garden like yours.. :))
