For this months scavenger hunt, I set myself the goal of trying to get all photos from my time spent on the farm with mum in Western Australia. As always, thanks to Greenthumb at
Made with Love for organising such a fun activity.

Dusk one evening on the farm in Doodlakine, Western Australia. |
A favourite word.

I don't have a favourite word but as the farm is very dear to my heart, this photo of an old tractor seems to suit the theme. |
Movement

The wind was moving the leaves of this eucalypt tree. |

The old bathroom in the old house my Dad grew up in. Hot water was obtained by lighting a chip heater which can be partially seen on the left of the photo. |

An old hook, shoe polishing brush and Gilette razor dispensor, all found in the old bathroom. |
Car
|
This old car
was in use many, many years ago. Before it was placed in it's final
resting place, when not a running vehicle, my sister and I would play for
hours pretending we were driving. The old gear stick, starter button,
hand windscreen wiper and steering wheel all got a good work out. |
Plate

The china painting on this plate is the work of my grandma. |
Something you made.

This is a fantastic collection, I can't pick a favourite! Your trip home to the farm provided so many great subjects for you this month!
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative family you come from no wonder you are so artistic yourself. Love your fabulous collection of photos set against the stunning WA landscape.
ReplyDeleteSuper photos - I like the one of your own painting and also the gold of the sunset in skyline. The old bathroom is fascinating and the little cat is lovely:)
ReplyDeleteLovely set of photos, love the bath, I was looking for something like that to take a picture of, mainly in farmers fields for the horses to drink out of. I like the car as well..
ReplyDeleteAmanda xx
Love, love, love your painting, you're so talented. Really enjoyed your photos especially hearing about your very own Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and would love to see more of where your father grew up, the glimpses of the house were fascinating xx
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed seeing these lovely photos. I was able to see a part of Australia that I've never seen before. You are so talented - I love your art work. Wishing you the very best.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Anne. Love them all actually. Have to say too, your art is lovely would like to see more of it! What a lot of history on your farm it must be lovely to go back and re-visit. cheers Wendy
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in this months scavenger hunt. I always enjoy seeing your photos as they are so very Australia. I really like skyline, cards, art. Greenthumb
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting seeing other parts of the world through the Hunt, particularly when they're so different to the UK. Loved the atmosphere you created with all the photos of old and decaying things. Particularly loved wheel, window, car and bathroom. You're a very talented artist. x
ReplyDeleteThis collection of photos is wonderful! I love seeing a part of the world that is so different from where I live. Loved the photos of your father's old home and wonder if you will show more in the future. That bath is great, and similar to the tub we had in a rented farm house when I first moved away from home (minus the fancy heater!). Wendy
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! I love the collection of photos that you put together this month! For me it's a wonderful glimpse into a part of the world I have never seen. Thank you for sharing your beloved farm! You must get your artistic talent from your mum! And how is it that kitties aways look so comfortable, relaxed, and self-assured? Have a happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed your choices for the month. That skyline rocks. The Bathroom? Love that. And that kitty cat? Too content.
ReplyDeleteTruly had fun seeing your hunt.
