Trees

Hello from a cold and chilly Melbourne.  One morning this past week we had fog and mist which lifted later in the day to reveal the the sun, something I haven't seen too much of since we arrived home from Europe.

I took these two photos across the to the neighbour's yard as I loved the silhouette and dew drops on the branches which can't actually be seen in the photos.

It got me thinking about trees and wonderful they are and how many different varieties there are in the world.  So I decided to put a little compilation together of the different trees I saw Europe and some from Australia.

How wonderful is the little tree tree above.  It has a very small area of earth to grow in but it looks healthy and green.

What a wonderful world we live in with such a variety of trees and plant life.  It makes me realise more than ever how important it is that we care for our environment not only for us but future generations to follow.  I have this quote on my sidebar.

'Any culture that destroys its own life support systems and calls that progress is totally insane.'

Have a wonderful weekend everyone,

  1. Love all those beautiful trees. Right about now I would love to have a damp, chilly morning to wake up to. The heat is not my friend, especially when it makes you not want to go outside at all.

  3. Ah .... I love trees too Anne. I love our Aussie ones but the European limes, beeches, oaks and chestnuts are really something aren't they? And the way the French cut back the Plane trees is interesting isn't it?
    Cheers
