Congratulations Charlotte

Congratulations to our beautiful daughter Charlotte who today successfully passed her driving test and is now the proud owner of a set of green P plates.  She's 21 so gets to use green P's straight away.  We are so very happy for her and very proud of her achievement.

She is very excited because now she can drive herself to work, drive to the swimming pool and the shopping centre without having to take the bus or train which takes up so much time waiting for connections or have hubby or me drive with her.  I think the best word in the English language to described how she feels is FREEDOM!!  :)  It's so lovely to see her take this step toward independence.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend,
Anne  xx

  2. Oh my, WELL DONE Charlotte............independence and freedom. I remember the first time I got to drive my parents car, on my own, after I got my licence.

It felt really weird having no one in the front passenger seat.....

Was wondering why the green P's straight away.....thanks for enlightening me Anne. No.1 has just moved onto his green P's.

Hmmm, you might be catching the bus a little more if Charlotte has you car now Anne, hehehe.........

    Enjoy your weekend too,

    Claire X

  4. Congratulations to Charlotte!

Over here we don't have P plates (well we do but they're not compulsory and are very rarely seen), so it's straight from L plates to nothing. What colour would she have had if she was under 21?

It does give you freedom ( except when your non driving mother uses you as a TAXI !!! )

  7. My daughter is several years older but there is no way she could afford lessons. They are soooo expensive. I don't drive myself and am put off by other drivers, they are so rude and dangerous that I am not sure I want to learn any more. I always think you never really know someone until you have sat in a car with them.I've only ever known 1 person to keep their temper.

  8. congratulations to Charlotte!

Here, drivers can choose to use green P plates or not as soon as they pass and are allowed to drive as soon as they have a license - and insurance of course - I am guessing the rules are different down under, do you have to be 21 to drive there?
