Quietly busy

It's very quiet here at Ungardened Moments.  I've been going about the business of preparations for our holiday, some cooking in the freezer for the girls, writing out helpful lists like where to find their favourite recipes, those tried and tested, where to buy the dog and chook food, how often to water my pot plants etc.  Nothing to taxing on my brain.

I've been running through my list of essentials to pack, peppermint tea with ginger, Vegemite, yes I said Vegemite, which can bought in a jar or a tube especially for travel.  I found a supplier of melamine cutlery to take for our alfresco picnics in France and Italy, ordering some so the weight of my bag (currently a bit of a problem) will be minimised.

The cutlery and other wonderful things to buy were found here.  I think I have covered most things and what has not been covered will procured in the northern hemisphere.

Other than that, I've been contemplating life and changes and what it all means.  I wrote a bit of an essay on my other blog  for those of you interested in my more reflective musings.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend ahead,

Anne  xx

  1. I thought it was just us Brits who packed supplies for their hols abroad - though we'd pack Marmite ;)

Please bring the sunshine & warmth with you - the UK is currently rather soggy :(

  2. Vegemite, buttered toast with a scraping of the good 'ole black stuff, you can't beat it.
    I love, love, love it...

Love the bright cutlery too Anne.....perfect for a Spring picnic.

A little damp up here in the North East, a bit more rain would be nice but not till after the market, hehe.....
    Have a great weekend,

    Claire x

  3. So exciting ! I remember an Australian friend telling me about Vegemite & how our Marmite is nothing in comparison ! I don't like it !

  4. It is all so exciting. Wish it was me going on this lovely trip.
If your bag gets too heavy you can buy your picnic supplies at a Supermarche in France !!

  5. I totally get packing vegemite, I'd be lost without it ;)
sounds like you are going to be so well organised Anne, good for you!

that melamine cutlery is super cute!
