One of those days...

It's one of those days where on waking I could have cried at the drop of a hat.  It has passed now (I'm fine) but it's now become one of those days where I find myself putting the milk in the pantry instead of the fridge.  Go figure!  :)

It's also one of those days where I am delighted to find the first roses for the season about to bloom.

A day where I can enjoy the fragrance of my very first Sweet Peas ever.

It's a day to appreciate our gorgeous cat Stripey who although is sneezing with a cat cold is happily purring and acting so cute that in the second photo he actually rolled off the seat.

It's a day to enjoy Spring flowers and even weeds flowering.  Buttercup is considered a weed where I live.

It's definitely a day to enjoy the contrast between the Japanese Maple lime green leaves and the blue sky,

and a Foxglove flowering happily in the sun.

It's a day to appreciate Sophie my faithful Labrador who loves me no matter how I'm feeling, who always is always happy to see me.

Quite simply, today is a day to find the beautiful, the glorious, the wonderful in a world that is at times most unkind and unfair.

Milk in pantry instead of the fridge......I know the feeling Anne. If I'm not concentrating I start to do the oddest things. Fortunately nothing major, but tea is definitely better if there are tea leaves in the pot!!
The first Roses, hmmm, I am waiting patiently/impatiently for mine to bloom, can only be another 24 hours away surely......
Sweetpeas, love those flowers and the scent.....heavenly. Sadly none came up in my compost heap this year so only a couple of stragglers in the garden. Next year I will be on the ball and get them in early. Beautiful green Maple leaves against the sky and Stripey I had to laugh when I saw the second pic. I could just imagine him rolling off the seat.....hope his cold clears up.
Love the Aquilegeas and the Foxglove, beautiful Spring blooms.
Pets are the best for cheering you up aren't they?
Hope your week is a good one....

Sounds like you've pulled yourself up just by counting your blessings... and your beautiful garden is surely one of them. BTW your photos are beautifully clear.

Good for you Anne. What a pretty colour, the sweet pea. I adore that sky blue. Funny how some flowers you can smell just thinking of them..I swear I just got a waft of sweet pea x0x0x

I'm glad your lovely flowers & sweet cat cheered you. Days like that, I go out for a walk & enjoy the nature all around.
Hope you find the milk & make yourself a lovely cuppa ! x

So beautifully put, Anne. I have a lot of those days lately, and I try, like you have just done, to remember the beauty too. Last night was a very sleepless night with teething miss Lucy, so I am especially grateful for the reminder to find the beauty.

Definitely have had some days start like that also. What a nice treat to have all those gorgeous flowers in the yard to change the mood. Something that simple always works. :)
