Sun and flowers

Today is sunny, gloriously sunny and that means I start to come out of hibernation.  These photos were taken this morning while I was enjoying a little bit of sunshine in the back yard.

Abutilon (Chinese lantern) which never stops flowering.

A shy hellebore.

  Tiny little fuchsias.

More shy hellebores and a pretty pink polyanthus saying hello!

At first glance this looks like a very dead plant but if you look really close (click on the photo for a closer view) you can see new green growth at the base of the plant.  This is a type of succulent which looks as if it is dying every year then springs back to life.  More photos to come as the transition takes place.

The echium will soon burst forth into glorious purpley spires of flowers.  More photos to come.

Finally the primulas are flowering.

After my lovely little jaunt into the garden and visit to blog land, the serious business of chook shed cleaning and fresh hay installation is beckoning me.  Then it's off to oil painting class to do battle with stormy clouds.

Have a great day,

Anne :-)
